Phill became a partner in Dean Statham in 1990 & has since built up a significant following in looking after a general portfolio of business clients. He particularly specialises in acting for professional services businesses, having a passion for practice management.
Phill also has an expertise in delivering innovative tax solutions & regularly presents on the subject to groups of business people and also networks of accountancy practices, additionally acting in a mentoring role to these practices.
Phill is a council member of the North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Chair of finest, the network of professionals in North Staffordshire, and a governor of Newcastle College. Outside of work - walking, skiing & watching football (that Mecca of Premiership football - Stoke City!) are his passions.

David trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with Dean Statham before becoming a partner in 2004. He has a varied portfolio of business clients including clients in the retail, manufacturing, engineering, construction and service sectors.
David has developed a particular expertise in providing structured business advice to clients and heads up our business advice arm, Best for Business. He is rightly proud of the fact that one of these clients gained national recognition for their significant increase in turnover and profitability over a relatively short period of time.
David loves his sports cars and when time allows (having two young children), enjoys working out in the gym.

Richard Bladen

Richard trained with a leading international accountancy firm before joining
Dean Statham, becoming a partner in 1983. Richard provides general advisory
services to a wide portfolio of clients, and has built up a recognised
expertise in share valuation and forensic matters. Richard is still playing
tennis each week, loves to go to concerts and greatly enjoys being ferried
around by his "of-age" son.

international firm. He has a wide knowledge of tax planning and is recognised
as a leading corporate tax-planning expert.

sectors. Peter also lectures to the newly self-employed for Business

Nicholas heads up our IT services. As well as being involved with our own
day-to-day IT matters, Nicholas spends the majority of his time installing,
training and query solving on client's accounting systems. He is a Sage Accredited Accountant Partner.
