Alistair
Darling has been cornered yet again by various lobby groups and we have another
significant concession to report this month - his latest attempt to still
backbench rumblings over the withdrawal of the 10% tax band. You may also
have picked up from the press the controversy over MP's expenses paid with no
receipts! We have added an article this month that sets out certain expenses
that HMRC will now accept can be paid without evidence - an attempt, maybe,
to level the playing field? We have
added a commentary on the tax concession for individuals who own a property
abroad through a company, and finally a few miscellaneous changes to tax
regulations, including a 50% increase in a particular tax-free allowance. Our next
newsletter will be published on the 3 July 2008. |

Sage
announce the withdrawal of support for Line 50 and Instant Accounts v10 |
|
|
|
Sage
have announced that they will no longer support Sage Line 50 and Instant
accounts version 10 after 30 September 2010. As
in previous years, the removal of support is some way off, but Sage has again
stated that there will be NO UPGRADE PRICES available after 31 July 2008 and
you will have to pay the full price for up to date versions after then. Also
if you currently have Sage Cover you will not be able to renew this after 30
September 2009. Because
of this, Sage are offering discounts on upgrades up to 31 July 2008 and we
recommend that you consider upgrading to the up to date versions before then. Contact
Nick Jinks on 01782 614618 for further information, or email
